Gamal Mustapha

Gamal Mustapha has over 15 years of program management and computer engineering design experience. Gamal graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering.

Gamal served as Design Engineer and R&D Manager for Norscan Instruments Ltd. for 8 years where he was responsible for the design and implementation of Norscan’s fiber optic cable monitoring systems.

Previously, Mr. Mustapha was a Program Manager at Symbol Technologies (now Motorola) where he was responsible for managing large multidisciplinary teams and took products from conception through development and into mass production.

Gamal brings program management and electronic design experience to the SMT Research team. His previous design experience in cable management systems at Norscan combined with program management experience obtained from Symbol has contributed to SMT's success in delivering technologies to the building and construction industry.

Jason Teetaert

Jason Teetaert has over 10 years of project management and electrical engineering construction design experience. Jason graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Jason brings construction related engineering experience from 5 plus years of electrical consulting in an associate position with MCW Consultants. Jason lead the communication system design on residential, educational, and institutional projects related to Smart Buildings as a low voltage systems integrator of voice, data, security and building control systems. As the lead consultant for data centre and mission critical infrastructure, he coordinated architectural, mechanical and electrical professionals for building space planning, budget formulation, conceptual and detail system design.

Previously, Mr. Teetaert was a principal and central project manager to the development of retail system equipment development at The Li’l Ice Cream Shop Ltd. He was responsible for business development, budgets, private and public funding, supplier sourcing and the daily operations of an R & D organization. The operation expanded retail operations in the USA to places from Chicago’s Navy Pier and Florida’s east coast.

Greg Jaman

Greg Jaman has over 7 years of software engineering experience ranging from web based application, databases, to embedded development. Greg graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering followed by a Master of Science Degree specializing in wireless sensor networks

Mr. Jaman is responsible for creating and maintaining the SMT Building Analytics monitoring center used for sensor data processing and analysis. As well, Greg used his research and experience in wireless sensor networks to develop the network, protocols, and firmware for the SMT Wireless Data Acquisition Unit.

Previously Mr. Jaman was the IT manager for a financial services company where he developed a secure database and applications to provide services over the the Internet linked to INTERAC network. Prior to that, Mr. Jaman was the lead programmer for World Cup Fishing where he focusing on scalability and distributed systems.

Jamieson Hermes

Jamieson William-Merritt-Cullen Hermes brings 18 years of corporate operations and finance experience to SMT. Born in Vancouver BC, Jamieson has traveled extensively for business and personal pursuits, allowing him to gain familiarity with business in Asia, Europe and North America. A graduate of Knox College, Jamieson earned his Bachelors degree in international relations and business. Jamieson is currently pursuing his MBA from Royal Roads University and PhD in Adaptive Currency Harmonics with the Market Technicians Association.

Jamieson brings diverse and unique expertise stemming from nearly two decades of work in a multitude of sector fields, such as: retail housewares, logistics, international textiles, asset management, property management, general construction, vertical agriculture, alternative energy, national defense, and quantum physics.

Jamison excels in his ability to coordinate and manage the elements of business allowing him to increase efficiency, streamline productivity, and protect operational objectives.
