TRLabs operates a high end network and computing facility in Winnipeg. Upgrades for cooling, redundancy and preventative maintenance were added including a leak detection and environmental monitoring system. The following sensors were added to the TRLabs network room facility:

• water/moisture sensors to detect moisture or condensation build-up
• temperature and humidity sensors.
• air flow and temperature sensor combinations to monitor the effectiveness of computer room cooling.

Collectively, the sensors ensure that valuable equipment is cool, secure, and dry.

TRLabs Manager Business Development Wing Kwong indicates SMT’s family of sensor technologies has a strong appeal for almost any company with computer rooms, but particularly for data centre hosting service operators, consulting engineers, and equipment suppliers and manufacturers.

TRLabs Director Manitoba Operations Len Dacombe extends an invitation to demonstrate the effectiveness of the SMT leak detection and monitoring system.
