SMT Research is monitoring the plumbing waste lines which exit a Level 3 Biohazard Lab at UBC Life Sciences Centre. The waste plumbing as goes through the buildings main mechanical spaces before reaching the incertor for processing. The risk of a leak occurring in the plumbing system is low, but the results of such an action occurring could be wide spread for the remaining of the occupants of the building.
