Overview
General Description
The DigiScan 360 unit is a revolutionary leak detecting instrument for roof systems. Using a multiprobe sensor plate, the direction and severity of a membrane breach is displayed on an LCD interface.
Rather than using two poles to perform manual triangulation, a multitude of sensitive current measurements are automatically recorded by an integrated microprocessor in order to calculate a resultant vector directing the operator towards the leak location. No prior knowledge of electronics or electric field theory is required to operate the DigiScan 360.
Guard circuit is easily installed and activated with a light water spray. The DigiScan 360 can be used before or after permanent monitoring gird is installed.
Features
- Digital interface shows the magnitude and direction of the leak.
- Transflective LCD screen allows operation in direct sunlight. Backlit version available.
- Multiprobe sensor plate contains 16 spring loaded probes suitable for contact on most membrane surfaces including overburden.
- Ergonomic, lightweight design with adjustable height facilitates single handed operation.
- No grounding tether required.
- Single button to increase/decrease unit sensitivity.
- DC transmitter is battery operated with digital display indicating voltage output.

Applications
Usage
Step 1 - Connect Power Source
Connect Positive lead to Guard Cable
Connect Negative lead to Building Ground (rebar, drain, metal object in contact with building or building itself)

Step 2 – Position Guard Cable
Place cable around area to test. Typical area is 5x5m to 10x10m. Ensure no points to building ground are within test area. (such as drains or edge beyond roof membrane)
Step 3 - Spray area to be tested
Gently spray area to test evenly.
Step 4 - Use the DigiScan 360 to locate breach
- Depress multiprobe plate to membrane surface every meter within area under test.
- When bar graph increases to a single bar follow arrows to breach. Voltages < 150mV suggest there are no holes.
- Upon identifying a leak/hole the bars in the magnitude meter will increase.
- Circumvent the breach with the DigiScan 360. Arrow should continue pointing to breach.
- Consult User Guide for tips and advanced techniques.
