National Roofing Week 2021

Last week, SMT Research along with the rest of the roofing community celebrated Roofing Week Canada. It ran for 5 days giving all of those involved in the roofing industry a chance to highlight a different part of their business each day.

Monday gave companies a chance to showcase some of their signature projects with SMT highlighting 8 of the more recent projects that we were proud to be a part of. On Tuesday, SMT honoured the charitable project we were proud to be a part of which is the Union Gospel Mission’s new Women and Families Centre in Vancouver. We would again like to thank UGM for all the amazing work they do in our community.

Employee appreciation day came on Wednesday and gave us a chance to show appreciation for all of our employees and the unique ways they contribute to this company. On Thursday, SMT shared some of the ways we train those who install our systems as well as how we educate the AEC industry about structural monitoring. Finally, Friday was a chance for companies to show how they celebrated roofing week. Although we were unable to celebrate together as a company, we were able to have a collage of all of our employees' amazing individual contributions.

SMT Research is honoured to be a part of the Canadian and American Roofing industries. We are especially proud of the partnerships we have here in our home base of Vancouver. It is truly amazing to be a part of such a forward-thinking industry and community of roofing professionals. We would also like to thank the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA) for organizing this amazing week. Finally, we would again like to thank our employees for making SMT Research such a successful and enjoyable company to work for.
