Field Technician Intern (Junior Level)

and building envelope monitoring. We utilize near real-time sensor analysis and remote data collection to allow Engineers, Architects, Building Owners and Researchers to validate designs,
materials, and methods, producing more efficient and durable buildings. We assist in shrinking environmental impacts by reducing the frequency of unnecessary roof repairs, by providing
quality assurance throughout the construction and restoration process.
Job Summary:
Field Technician Intern will primarily travel to client sites to perform installations, maintenance,
service, and data collection for our advanced moisture monitoring systems, offering the unique
opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
● Travel to client sites to perform Installation & service of IoT-enabled sensor system
components (cables, enclosures, sensors, etc.).
● Configuration and testing of data logging and monitoring software for sensor networks.
● Troubleshooting connectivity issues in field sensor networks and performing basic
diagnostics.
● Integration of wireless monitoring technologies in construction sites.
● Termination of cable assemblies in the field.
● Photo/Video record keeping using mobile applications for documentation.
● Carry ~50 lbs of gear and navigate construction site hazards.
● Follow all safety protocols, work procedures, and instructions as needed.
● Other duties needed to support SMT’s productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications:
● Strong mechanical, analytical skills and comprehensive technical writing skills
● Able to meet physical requirements which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing,
kneeling, lifting (up to 55 lbs), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions
(wind, rain, snow, sun)
● Effective communication, team, and interpersonal skills
● Personal vehicle will be an asset

Schedule:
● 8 hour shift
● Monday to Friday
Compensation:
● $21 per hour
